hi I'm trying to put together a computer from various different old parts that have been laying around, none of them have ever had problems so i didn't expect to get any when i started this project. so i put everyrthing together, and when i turn on the PC, i hear no beeps, no bios shows up on my monitor, nothing...i tried a different hard drive, different ram, different power supply, and different video card, could it be that i have to reset my bios?

turn the computer off
remove the power lead from the back
take the side off
remove the cmos battery
move the cmos jumper from pins 1 and 2 to pin 2 and 3 and the back to pins 1 and 2
replace the battery
put the side on
replug in the power lead
boot the computer

there can be 2 solder points you touch with a screwdriver
2 pins you touch with a screwdriver or use a jumper
a cmos clear switch or button
there will be a diagram and instructions in your manual

n/m i figured it out, was a mix of risers and a bad hard drive! thanks for your help!
