I just got this new biostar P4M900-M4 motherboard with p4 and I hooked it up to my HD from my old comp with old drivers and OS xp and I put the cd with drivers in and installed most of them a few I think said they failed for some reason and I used uniblue driver scanner and I think I installed a bad driver so now it loads allmost to windows and restarts I have gotten it to start in safe mode but it wont even work in safe mode now it just restarts once the safe mode drivers load so I'm kinda confused what to do now? plz help!

Reinstall the entire OS.

It may have detection trouble. Any Plug and Pray devices that you may have plugged in but not prayed? :p


Also, it does not restart. It gives you the "Blue Screen of Death". That usually shows where the problem is.

Disable automatic restart upon system failure. :)

When you install a new motherboard you need to do a repair install to remove the old drivers and reset the HAL config.> http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm#RI

If you have a OEM copy of Windows you will legally need a new license as by the EULA the original is tied to the first motherboard installed on, Retail version is different.
