[SOLVED] New case/speaker socket causing constant static noise.

I recently changed the case for my pc but ever since doing so there is a constant and rather loud static noise like you would hear if your speakers were not plugged in correctly. My sound still works and doesn't sound distorted but the static is constantly therer. I have double checked everything to make sure there is no lose connections but even if I use the onboard speaker the noise still persists.

The only difference now I have a new case is a new front speaker socket (the blue, pink and green slots that you plug external speakers/mic into). My best guess is there is a faulty connection or a dodgy wiring from this attachment but various people have insisted this cant be the case as the static is still present through the onboard speaker (although the onboard does not work if the front socket is not plugged into the motherboard).

Any idea's? Oh and just so you know, the drivers are fine.
