Okay, first off I'll tell you what the problem the is and what I've tried.
Below a sentence the sentence would be repeated but abit lightly and not as dark as the original, it's like that for all the words I have on my screen and for only some of the images, and when I open a new tab there's still an imprint of what was the before it, but it's light.
There's also a line at the top and bottom of my screen, the shadowing and such only happens in between these lines.

I'm using a Acer Aspire 5535 Laptop.

What I've tried:
Replacing the monitor
Tested my graphics card by plugging in a desktop monitor (no shadows occurred)
Updated my graphics driver
Updated software (Was previously on vista basic now on Win7 Ult)

None of this has worked, it might be the cable going to the monitor, I'm not sure as I have no clue in these things so thought I'd get some opinions.

In the image I've included on the right you see a shadow of something, the desktop background I had before I changed it to show you what I mean by shadows of what was there before, also look below some of the writing where it's been shadowed.

This happened around 1 week ago, I scanned my laptop when it happened, found a virus called Worm.Autorun or something like that and removed it and restarted and the problem wasn't there. Next day the problem happened again, I scanned etc and the problem never went away again.

Can anybody help me, please?

Re: My screen makes shadows and imprints

I've only just noticed now that in the screenshot I took you can't see the shadows below the letters anywhere there, but on the right and middle you can still see a slight echo of the background I had before there.
Any help is very much appreciated.

Can't see anything wrong with your screenshot.

If you don't see the problem when connected to an external monitor then the issue is probably not related to the graphic chip or the driver.

If you can see an image of the previous wallpaper that you had there may be a problem with the LCD screen.

You can try checking the graphics cable first.

Re: My screen makes shadows and imprints

Thanks for getting back to me.
That pic wasn't the best to show what I've got on my screen so I'll include a more specific one, you'll see the letters are repeated lightly and it also comes up under some things like pictures.
Although I've figured out, words or pictures won't repeat when the background is white.
Any thoughts?
