Hello, I just stumbled upon this site and liked what I saw, so I registered. For some reason, when my PC starts up, I'm getting an error message for Microsoft Intellipoint 6.2. It was not the case a couple of days ago. I have plenty of anti-spyware devices and I have NOD32 anti-virus as well. How do I resolve the error message, which basically states that Microsoft Intellipoint had an error, then the usual Microsoft line about sending an error report to them. Thank you in advance.

Re: Microsoft Intellipoint 6.2 error message at startup

Hello DarkMagic, Welcome to TSF!

Have a look at this page from Microsoft®. (Click the coloured link.)

It has the Drivers for your keyboard/mouse, even though is shows Vista™, there are Drivers available for Windows®XP; just select your O/S.

Uninstall your current Drivers; download the 'replacements';reinstall them
When downloading, "save" the download to your computer, rather than using the "Open" or "Run" options.

Post back with the results.

Kind Regards,

Thanks Chauffeur2 for your prompt follow-up. Your steps did the trick. Now as I navigate the forum more, I am finding so much information to play with and learn from (and I'm not a novice PC user, so every dog can learn some new tricks:tongue:) Again, thank you...
