I want to match the speed of my memory and the speed of the mb is there a software to do this. specs are:


MB: Gigabyte EP45-UD3L
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400
memory: OCZ2P10662G

you can use CPU-Z (free download) to verify these things

your motherboard will default to 800mhz memory setting even though your ram is 1066mhz memory; to achieve higher than 800mhz memory you will need to overclock the system. You could hit around 900mhz or a tad higher with a moderate overclock but attempting to get higher than 950 takes some research and patience.

BTW: most computer users will not see the diff once you hit 950mhz and higher; the PC8500 ram is very desirable more for its stability than its 1066mhz rated speed.
