[SOLVED] Installing Windows Genuine Advantage

Hi all,
This is my first post and I really need some help.
I just installed a new mother board and upgraded the memory to 4 GB DDR2..
I am running Win XP Pro with SP3 (just installed).
I used hd from the old system with the OS and just installed the Mobo installation CD to this OS. The Mobo is an Elitegroup A780GM-A with an AMD Athlon 64 x2 processor.
As the title says, I can not install the windows genuine advantage. The error code saids that it is downloaded, but says it will not install and does not give any error codes.
Can I get a few suggestions on what to do. This is really driving me up a tree.
Thanks for the help.:upset:

Re: Installing Windows Genuine Advantage

if winxp pro came on the system that you just installed a new motherboard in, then according to the oem license it must be replaced with a new copy of xp. The only exception isif it was the exact same motherboard as before.
