Good Evening,

I hope this is in the right place, apologies if it needs to be moved.

The problem I am experiencing is that when I send a spam notification to Trend Micro, the 'From' e-mail address is incorrect. I have been working with Trend Micro for some time to solve this, but they have now declared that the problem lies within Outlook Express which I understand is part of IE.

I can't find any trace in IE/OE of the incorrect e-mail address that is being used.

Any suggestions, please?

PS The incorrect address is one that used to belong to one of my sons, but has not existed for some time.

Thanks for the reply.

The problem turned out to be registry entries which had not changed when the OE identity changed. Under Internet Account Manager> Accounts, the Display Name and E-Mail address data for SMTP and NNTP was for the old identity.

Found it with a Registry search, any suggestions about why it did not change when the identity was changed?
