[GeoMapster]

Hello!

This is Kevin aka GeoMapster briefing this error message when IE hungs after right-clicked mouse to "Open In New Window" several times. I had to open Task Manager to end the programs. Some of times, it took so long time to close it. The main problem is "When IE opens a new window, the new windows hangs and the new url address is not listed in new window."


Version of IE: Internet Explorer 7.0.0530.13
Cipher Strength: 128-bit

Thank you for reply and I am not sure about IE8 because I don't like toolbars at top of window such as tabs, etc.. too much junks I think. Or maybe I am wrong LOL. Also, not sure if this is one of reasons to have IE8 to update correction from error when open in new window in IE7?

If you like IE7 that much you may Enable the Compability View Mode in IE8.

Click on Tools menu, and select Compatibility View Settings. In the “Compatibility View Settings” dialog, tick the check box for Display all websites in Compatibility View option. Click on Close button when done.

The IE7 Standards document mode in IE8 Compatibility View mode is activated immediately, which makes IE8 behaves a little bit more like IE7.

Really.. I read the users' reviews via the link you provided earlier about IE8. I think I will stick with IE7 and be patient with the problem with opening new window. LOL

I guess that will be all for now and seems the log from ToolBarCop looked okay?
