and now, none of my burners will open. Neiter Nero or DVD Flick. I wanted to add a last minute thing to my project and I didn't see a "stop burning" so I stupidly ended it myself. Now both Nero and DVD Flick get to their opening screens and freeze. I've already tried restarting my computer and uninstalling, then reinstalling DVD Flick so far, but neither has worked.

Is there any way I can fix this myself? I'm hopefully getting a restore disk from Dell soon so I can fix this then at least.

Also, I wasn't sure what forum to put this in so I chose my operating system forum. Mods feel free to move it if you want. Just someone please help me :(

Re: I ctrl+alt+deleted a burning process before it was done and now

How did you uninstall the programs originally? Was it via Add/Remove Programs? If it was, you probably had some registry entries leftover and various folders still scattered around on your PC.

You need to use Revo Uninstaller if you wish to thoroughly remove a program. Download it here.

Uninstall both burning applications with this tool using the 'Advanced' settings, and re-install.

Re: I ctrl+alt+deleted a burning process before it was done and now

Thanks TomHax but I got it fixed. I did a system restore and restored it to an earlier time. Though I will agree with you that Revo's a good uninstaller, I've had to use it to remove programs that didn't appear in the Add/ Remove thing.

I don't think it wouldv'e done any good this time though as I ran two registry cleaners after uninstalling both Nero and DVD Flick and the problem still persisted. But I'm just ecstatic to finally fix this as I'm about to burn a large number of things to dvd :D
