Hello and welcome to the TSF. It is not uncommon for laptop mfg's to add a interface adaptor to the hdd, normally you should be able to gently pry/pull it off to reveal the std sata interface, after which you can install it in any sata 2.5" enclosure such as....http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817392009

I have at sata laptop hard drive and I need to get the files off of it (the laptop broke). It's a seagate drive. There's a picture of it below and it's not like any other sata things I could find. Is there a cable or external enclosure I can use to get the files off?

This is and adapter from the company like HP you can pull this off then under that is the normal sata connections that your looking for.
