I have an emachine with windows vista on it. The windows installer keeps popping out. Is it possible to just restore the computer to factory setting to solve the problem? If so, how? I dont have/know the admin password. Pls help. Thanks

Assuming you have a recovery partition you could follow this:

Make sure you backup anything that you want to keep before doing the recovery.

The windows installer for what program? If you don't know go to Start/Search and type devmgmt.msc Right click the devmgmt icon and Run As Administrator. In the Device Manager do you have any devices with yellow marks? If so, these devices need to have drivers installed. go to the Emachine site and find your model # and download the driver you need.
