[SOLVED] Heaphones and speakers

Does anybody know how i can hook up headphones to a laptop and still have the speakers work. I hook up my laptop to my stereo via a homemade connector that goes from headphones on my laptop to the aux on my stereo. i was wondering if there was a flip i could switch in XP that would let me use both the laptop speakers and the headphone output at the same time (playing the same thing). Thanks
