Currently I'm using WD2500BEVS (Western digital 250 GB Sata, 5400 RPM).

My Laptop is Acer Aspire 4920G.

I would like to upgrade it to WD7500BPKT (Western Digital 750GB , 7200 RPM, 16MB cache).

I'm worried if my laptop can take this new capacity.

Other than that I'm also worried if it will generate more heat than the one I am currently using WD2500BEVS and spoil my entire laptop.

Please advice if I can upgrade to this new HDD which has a higher capacity and faster RPM into my laptop.

If this is not a suitable model could you please sugest me a highest capcacity model and with higher RPM and cache?

Thanks a lot.

Re: HDD - WD7500BPKT (Western Digital) compatibility with Acer Aspire 4920G

Size shouldn't be an issue. You can verify with Acer support for clarification.

And yes, being a 7200 RPM drive, it will likely create more heat.
