[SOLVED] Hard Drive Exchange Error

I have 3 hard drives in my case. One 80gb sata (for operating system and programs), one 120gb ide (for documents and files), and one 10gb ide, yes i mean 10gb (for iTunes music).

I want to exchange my 120gb for a 250gb, but when i shutdown my computer and change out hard drives, I turn on my computer and it posts and everything. However, right before Vista loads, i get a hard drive error message with a lot of stuff on it.

Does anybody know how to go about exchanging 2 ide hard drives in vista?

Also, the 2 ide hard drives are on a VIA VT6421 Combo PCI controller card, but I dont think that is the problem.
