Hi all, first post here (I think)

I'm starting to have major problems with my PC. First of all, here's the specs:

Processor Intel Pentium Dual Core E5300 runing at 2.6 GHz. (13 x 200 )
Processor Cooler Intel Approved CPU Cooler
Graphics Card ATI Radeon HD 4850 1024MB GDDR3
Hard Drive Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache
Memory Corsair XMS2 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C5 TwinX Dual Channel
Motherboard Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L Intel G31 DDR2 Motherboard
Optical Drive LG GH22NS30 22x DVD±RW SATA Dual Layer ReWriter
Power Supply Corsair CX 400W ATX Power Supply
Sound Card High Definition 7.1 OnBoard Sound Card

Let's get down to the problem details: Not always, but often, when I press the power button, the device switches on but the fans fluctuate twice, and then the graphics card fails to send any signal to the monitor. Usually when this happens once, it'll happen ten more times until, for some reason, it works fine. Here's a video showing what I mean: YouTube - PC Problems Video for forums

The first part of the video is what should happen. The second part is what actually happens when the graphics card fails to start. I then have to turn the PC off and try again.

I attempted to overclock my PC in December, with advice, which is the first time this started to happen. I overclocked within the limits of my processor, and I did take advice on what I should do. The processor is now back it its default settings, and this still happens from time-to-time. In addition to this, the same problem will occur when waking the PC from sleep - the display will not receive any signal.

Any help/a diagnosis would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Graphics Card not Booting after Wake/Boot

Hmm, if my power supply is indeed 400W, I'm starting to think that it may be the PSU causing the problem. Should I upgrade it? If so, what to?

Re: Graphics Card not Booting after Wake/Boot

Thank you all for your replies. Oddly, the problem hasn't occurred since I posted this thread. But I'm sure it'll happen again in the future. I thought, as do you guys, that the power supply was the problem. But the computer starts up normally most of the time - also, it only started happening after I attempted to Overclock the CPU. Perhaps a component got damaged?

Re: Graphics Card not Booting after Wake/Boot

Using an underpowered PSU only results in a slow death of other components and the GPU suffers the most.
