Hi guys,
My computer is about 5 years old now and came with a nvidia geforce2 mx400 graphics card, but recently a few problems have risen, and i suspect it is because of the graphic card
Firstly, my monitor sometimes flickers and turns off randomly, and i cant turn it back on again. i have to resort to restarting by pressing the power button, but then the computer produces a "beep" sound when booting, and the monitor doesnt work. After a while however it starts working again, but this time, i used "dxdiag", as someone had hinted to look up my graphic card, and now it doesnt recognise the graphic card! i had done this before but today after rebooting my computer, the display went all funny
The resolution was extremely low and the colours did not display correctly. My mouse left trails all over the place and i only fixed it by going to desktop properties and resetting the settings, only to discover my graphic card was not recognised!
Secondly, my computer sometimes, only sometimes, freezes up and then restarts again automatically. there are no problems but then an error report message springs up and tells me there is a problem with my graphic card. I think everythings fine but then once i shut down and reboot it again, it stuffs up in the same manner as i said above! there have been no data losses or anything like that, it just seems that the display has been disrupted.
This is part of the dxdiag thing, hope it helps:

I've gotten into trouble once before by stuffing up the computer, and i dont want it to happen again.
Can someone please help me, and please ask me any question related to solving this. Thank you all who are willing to help, i am SO desperate :upset::sigh:
P.S. can someone also please tell me if i am able to play any 3d games once my graphic card isnt recognised? will it still work?
