I'm using Server 2008 R2 and am trying to set up a GPO for folder redirection for Remote Desktop Services users.
After following instructions on TechNet and MS Labs software, I've created a new OU in the Group Policy Management snap-in on the domain controller and linked a GPO to it, then ensured that the GPO is scoped to the Remote Desktop Users group.
When I check the documents folder on the user profile, it's still pointing to the default local location.
So I forced a refresh of GPO (gpupdate) and checked again.
I logged ooff and on again and checked again.
Still no change.
I tried to change it manually on the client machine to see if it would work that way but get a message saying I cannot change the location as the folder cannot be indexed.
So I checked the folder on the file server and sure enough, the indexing box is checked...
Now I'm getting lost in the myriad of settings in GPOs...
Can anyone help please?
