I came to know recently about the program Gconf cleaner. is it same like windows' registry-cleaner?
And In the software centre, I was reading users' comments...few saying it's pretty aggressive and mean (dont know in what way). So if I use it, there might occur a problem?

Re: GConf Cleaner - any drawback?

I haven't used it nor have I used any of the windows registry cleaners, like ccleaner. That said I am not sure why you would need to use it. Linux doesn't really have a lot of excess baggage that you would need to remove. I am not sure what Ubuntu is using these days, though I have heard that their distro is getting more and more resource hungry.

Is there something that you are looking to remove or clean up?
