I have an fujitsu siemens scaleo 400 PC (XP home). With other words an old computer.
The problem is that my integrated floppy unit has started to act funny.
To mention I just recently made a BIOS update. It has also started to "read" diskettes really loud (never had this kind of sounds before). It doesn't recognize diskettes that has already being formatted and easly read before. When I try to reformatt it beginns to formatt but at the very end the reading gets very loud and then I get a message that the formatting could not end.
When I check the devicemanager there is nothing that indicates that anything would be wrong. Has my BIOS screwed things up in the communication between the floppy station and the computer?
