Hello guys,

Whenever i plug-in my flash memory or an MP3 player via USB, my comp wait couple a secs, and then its start popping error, each time is the same one, it says: "Windows - no disk" but i can read Flash memory and MP3 whole the time and i have three options for this error: "Cancel, try again, Continue" and i click Cancel or Continue for several times, error window disappears, and after 30 secs it pops-up again and its the same story all over. When i try to press TRY AGAIN button, its never ending, error window won't close...
Can someone help me, please!

Try changing the USB port.

in the device manager click on view at the top and in the dropdown
show hidden devices
then uninstall all listed usb items
turn the computer off
unplug usb plugs
reboot twice
replug in the usb plugs

if this does not fix reset the cmos

cmos reset
turn the computer off
remove the power lead from the back
take the side off
remove the cmos battery
move the cmos jumper from pins 1 and 2 to pin 2 and 3 and the back to pins 1 and 2
reinsert the battery
put the side on
replug in the power lead
boot the computer

there can be 2 solder points you touch with a screwdriver
2 pins you touch with a screwdriver or use a jumper
a cmos clear switch or button
there will be a diagram and instructions in your manual

If the computer has an OS that was not preinstalled by a company like HP, Dell, Acer, etc. than I believe this member will need to load the driver for the USB from the motherboard cd. Windows will not reinstall that driver by itself.


This is a good example of why all poster's should read the rules and post there configuration including if it was prebuilt or not and if windows is the original copy that preinstalled by the OEM manufacturer.
