[SOLVED] DVD Drive/3rd Hard Drive Not Recognized

999 Views 3 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Deleted090308
Basically what the title says, my DVD Drive nor my 3rd Hard Drive shows up, unless I restart my computer. Usually I put my computer in stand-by just to save time, but when I do, I come back on and they're gone. I have used the help Microsoft had on their site. It told me to delete some registry files, which I did, and now they're not there so I can't go about this process again. I run the most updated version of Windows XP x64-bit. My guess is that there's a problem with my iTunes. Whenever I load it up, it says something about it not being installed properly, which it was, I've ran the installer with no programs running, etc. (http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/6695/ffdfai7.png) I get this message no matter what version I have and no matter how many times I install it.

NOTE: If this was placed in the wrong forum, I apologize, and please move it.

Re: DVD Drive/3rd Hard Drive Not Recognized

Hi

Yes, iTunes causes numerous problems with drives (mostly CD/DVD).

AFAIK, there's no 64-bit iTunes driver for XP.
But - have a look at this tweaking guide: http://yukichigai.googlepages.com/iphonex64
