[SOLVED] DSL Line Filter Question

i was wondering if using the inline pots splitter, the ones that the internet companies give you when they send out the modem that you hook up at the rj-11 wall outlet, is a better choice than installing an outdoor pots splitter in the NID. does one give better performance than the other? God bless!
