Re: drivers for chaintech 7NJL3

i got the cmedia sound drivers from driverguide.com, cmedia NOT having them!
What is going on here!
I still need sm bus driver, which, of course, is mobo driver. Its nvidia so i guess i go there.
Now that i am posting i see you had the same idea where to get the drivers, thats where i got the sound driver.

Likely all done here, thanks.

Re: drivers for chaintech 7NJL3

Your welcome and good luck. It's sad that Chaintech does not at least provide a page for downloading their motherboard drivers. Nvidia has a scanner that will scan for updated drivers for their chipsets, but I'm not sure if it will work with older ones. Anyways here's the link for that: Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers

Re: drivers for chaintech 7NJL3

i wont be buying anything with the Chaintech name on it now that i see they have done that. They arent the only ones but the list is small.

tanks for the tip on the nvidia scanner!
I dloaded the nvidia as mentioned above, the only thing i needed was the sm bus driver and lo and behold it was listed. I x'd out the rest as win xp install took care of them and i installed the sm bus and now device mgr is good. So i am all done, now that i have installed avirus and amalware on this machine, lol.
As an aside, i see that win 7 ult is has better security built into it than win xp does. At least for me. I have only installed win 7 ult and set up its security and nothing else and i have been safe for 1.5 years so far. But for win xp i always add more security and i note that AVG has a combo a\virus and a\malware suite that is still free.
Thanks for your help
