I want to disable AVG to download and install the update for Realplayer 11
But I cannot find a way to temporary disable it.

The reason I want to do this is because the Realplayer gets to no more than 38% and disappears due to decompression failure. Windows firewall has Real.com as an exception, so I conclude it could be AVG, hence the request.

In case anyone else has this problem this is what you do.
Open the AVG interface and double click on the Resident Shield un-check the Resident Shield active and click change (don't forget to re tick it when you have finished )
Each protection can be disabled the same way ie email scanner etc.
