Hi

This seems to be a minor problem but I can't figure it out. My laptop was picking up wireless networks from public places until a few days back. Now it is not. It has a connectivity problem with wireless network. When I checked, it says that the device is working fine. I can even see the name of the network in my list of preferred networks. But it is not getting connected. Will this be a problem of firewall or network switch (I can't locate it in the system)? Please give me suggestions.

Are you SURE the wireless adapter is switched on? There is normally a function key sequence or a small switch on the laptop to enable/disable the wireless. Check your user's manual or try <Fn><F2>, which is described on page 40 of that manual.

Thanks for the reply. I sort of figured it out yesterday. I switched on the adapter by pressing <Fn><F2>. It seems to be picking up wireless signals. I am yet to check the details. Thanks for the mail though. I appreciate that.
