[SOLVED] Dell E521 bios problems?

I had my dell motherboard changed by dell b/c it wouldn't boot. They sent a tech over to install a new motherboard, after that my amd 5000 x2 now reads as an Athlon 64 +7200 single core. I've checked my hardware tab, only shows one processor. Cpuz reads it as a single core new orleans, and in task manager it only has one processor bar. I've tried installing the drivers for the processor, removing the cmos battery, and also updated the bios on the dell website, and also tried to reinstall vista ultimate 64bit only to get an error saying that I can't run in 64bit mode. I've also have spent the past couple of the days on the phone with dell, and they seem like they don't know anything. So if anybody could help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Dell E521 bios problems?

cmos reset
turn the computer off
remove the power lead from the back
take the side off
remove the cmos battery
move the cmos jumper from pins 1 and 2 to pin 2 and 3 and the back to pins 1 and 2
reinsert the battery
put the side on
replug in the power lead
boot the computer

there can be 2 solder points you touch with a screwdriver
2 pins you touch with a screwdriver or use a jumper
a cmos clear switch or button
there will be a diagram and instructions in your manual
