[SOLVED] Dell Dimension 3100

My PC has 2x 512mb memory modules. Only 1GB is empty and the PC runs slowly.

I am considering upgrading the memory to 2 x 1GB memory modules as recommended by the Crucial memory scanner, which I hope will speed things up a bit.

Even though Im not over technical I think I can cope with the actual replacing of the memory modules. My question is what files & programs will I lose by putting new memory in?
