Hi,

When I right click on an open browser page in IE8 (Windows 7 Home Premium) the only e-mail option I see is to use Windows Live Hotmail. Is there a way to change this so that I can send e-mail via Windows Live mail 2011, please?

Tools>Internet Options>Programs>Set Programs>Set program access and computer defaults>Custom and select Windows Live Mail

When you get to "Custom",are you not getting a list of Email possibilities or is the choice not sticking?

Re: Default E-Mail for IE8

Hi,

I have attached a screen shot of what I get. I use Windows Live Mail 2011 for my general e-mail. Sometimes when I see a reference to Windows Live Mail it actually refers to the Hotmail product. there seems to be some lack of consistency in the use of these names.

If you choose File>Send in IE8, does it send via Live Mail 2011? If so, then it seems all is OK. If not, what does it send by?

Re: Default E-Mail for IE8

Think I've found the problem, thanks.

If I right click the open browser page, I don't get the option to e-mail.

If I click on 'page' I get the option to e-mail a page or a link. Both of these use WLM 2011.

Looks like operator error.

Thanks for your help.
