OK, so I just got a brand new computer today, aSYX SG-58 Intel X58 Gaming PC gaming computer.

Its liquid cooled, and I know next to nothing about the insides of a computer, and have never had a liquid cooled system before.

Here are the parts.

(1) Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit SP1
(1) CoolIT ECO for Intel 1366 Processors
(1) Intel Core i7-960 3.2GHz 8m 1366 CPU
(3) 4GB DDR3 1333MHz Memory
(1) Asus Sabertooth X58 MotherBoard
(1) 1TB 3.5" SATA 3G 7200RPM Hard Drive
(1) Single 1GB GF GTX560TI GDDR5 PCIES Video Card
(1) CoolerMaster HAF 912 Standard Edition Chassis
(1) 12X SATA DVDRW/Blu-Ray Reader Combo Optical Drive
(1) 550W 80 Plus Bronze Power Supply

When I turn this thing on, I get a BIOS warning telling me "CPU Fan Not Working".

Unfortunately, I have no idea if this is a Problem or not, since the system is liquid cooled. Does it even HAVE a CPU fan?

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: CPU Fan Not Working - Liquid Cooled System

IF the cpu is liquid cooled, then there is no fan attached to the motherboard cpu fan header...thus the alarm.

Re: CPU Fan Not Working - Liquid Cooled System

Also, if it's staying on...there likely isn't a fan. Most cpu's will overheat and trip the automatic shutdown before Windows can load.
