i looked into the benchmarks for gaming recently, and i found repeatedly that 1600 and >1600 are nearly always virtually identical. what's more, 1600 is cheaper and more stable.

2x4gb ddr3 1600 only costs $40 on newegg atm. can't go wrong with that.
