Its like my computer is just broken and I don't know how to fix it even all the methods I searched for on the internet. almost every other application I try to run I get something like "cscui.dll is not either windows file or it is corrupted". I downloaded the file off the internet and tired replacing in system32 but I apparently don't have access to it when I'm the only admin account!

I ran sfc. /scannnow sfc.exe /scannow, chkdisk on boot still the problem persist. My CBS log is like 10mb and there is so much data in it which I don't know what to do.

Anyone know how can I fix it?

Re: Computer really broken not due to virus

Also it is not a good idea to download Windows System files off of the internet, they could have bugs worst yet viruses. It is a safer practice to extract them from you installation cd/dvd

Follow joeten's advice. Also try in the Windows RE with command prompt and running sfc scannow again.
Code:
sfc /scannow /offbootdir=X:\ /offwindir=X:\windows
X: represents the hard drive or partition you have Windows installed on. Most times it is C:

Sorry for the late reply. Either my CD/DVD player is broken or my windows 7 dvd which make it impossible to try Joeten's method. I tried running
Code:
sfc /scannow /offbootdir=c:\ /offwindir=X:\windows
and I get.. I ran it as 'run as admin' too

Re: Computer really broken not due to virus

Came across an article which suggested running Intel's auto detect in Safe Mode with Networking should give you the iastor.sys file while upgrading to Win 8 will negate the need to fix your Win7 installation, which probably would have been achieved by a factory reset if you have that option.

Note Edited article link which gives further info.

I run the update but I dont find any 'intel matrix update option' Its like it doesn't even exist. But when I went into my vendors driver page they have it called 'Robsons Package' by Intel. I reinstall it but they error persist.

But recently when I rebooted and selected the upgrade option, it tells me my 'winload.exe' something is broken/corrupted

Now I'm back to square one with a broken windows 7. I'm now currently running the upgrade process via windows 8 dvd. I hope it works now.

Re: Computer really broken not due to virus

Have you thought of opening a thread in the Virus & Trojan section as it seems to be one file after another that's cropping up as broken - the alternative is the factory reset that I mentioned earlier which at least would get your Win 7 working, so that should enable you to do the upgrade to Win 8.

A factory reset is also the quickest way to resolve an infection.
