Re: Computer Keeps Rebooting

Please upload your msinfo32.nfo file. To get this: Start Menu -> Type msinfo32 into the Search programs and files box -> When it opens, go to File, Save -> Save as msinfo32.nfo and save in a place you will remember -> Let it finish the process of gathering and saving the system info -> Right click the .nfo file, click send to compressed (zipped) folder -> Upload the .zip file here.

Re: Computer Keeps Rebooting

Does the system reboot after two minutes if you run in Safe Mode?

Access the Windows Advanced Boot Options:
Press F8 every second or every half second when your system first turns on or restarts. Some BIOS systems may not recognize the F8 being pressed unless it is pressed very rapidly. Others require the F8 key to be pressed with a longer interval in between. You may have to try different methods of pressing F8 after the Power On Self Test (POST) screen in order to reach the Advanced Boot Options screen. For reference: the POST screen generally has the name of your motherboard (ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, etc.) or the name of your system's manufacturer (HP, DELL, Toshiba, etc.) as an image/logo or in text as it proceeds through the test, and it appears just prior to seeing the Windows logo for the Windows loading process.

Also, let us know if you have the option to Repair your computer within the Advanced Boot Options.

Re: Computer Keeps Rebooting

These problems occasionally occur due to a bad display adapter driver causing problems on the system. Sometimes the driver becomes corrupted and results in problems. In Safe Mode, remove your display adapter drivers for NVIDIA display devices. Steps to do so are below:

  1. Click the Start Button
  2. Right Click My Computer/Computer
  3. Click Manage
  4. Click Device Manager from the list on the left
  5. Expand Display adapters
  6. Right click each NVIDIA device and do the following steps for each:
    • Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)
    • Put a tick in Delete driver software for this device and hit OK
    • Restart your computer in Safe Mode if you still have other NVIDIA devices to uninstall
  7. Restart your computer in Normal Mode.

Alternatively:
  1. Login as an adminstrative user.
  2. First, download the driver you plan to install. Then do the next steps.
  3. Click Start Button
  4. Click Control Panel
  5. Click Hardware and Sound
  6. Click Device Manager (the last link under Devices and Printers)
  7. Expand Display adapters
  9. Restart your computer in Normal Mode.

If the above does not work, try doing a clean boot using Safe Mode to set up the startup programs and services.

If you still have problems after a clean boot, the issue may be due to an infected Windows system.
