Re: Computer is unable to connect to any networks

You may try removing the network security from your router then try connecting. If you're able to connect try WEP apply the same security to your computer then try to connect again to your own SSID. Now try WPA2.

Pls give us an update.

Re: Computer is unable to connect to any networks

Sorry for the delay, I wanted to thank you again for all your help thusfar.Heres where I am.

- I tried the network with security disabled this worked! this is definitely helpful and a step in the right direction I hope.

-I then went on to try WEP, I got a limited connectivity message.

I went to WPA personal, and this showed the same old message "could not connect."

I would just turn all of my routers to disabled security, but I know this is unsafe. Also, I would like to be able to connect to my university network, while in class and at the library. So if it is possible to get the computer to connect to networks that are password protected that would be ideal.

Re: Computer is unable to connect to any networks

I can't remember if I have given you an advise to update your router's firmware, it might help.
Connecting to unsecured network is not safe at all. There might be some disagreement between your Wi-Fi adapter with your router . Others would replace their Wi-Fi adapter just to be on a safe side.

Re: Computer is unable to connect to any networks

I would just like to update. I got back to my apartment after winter break. The problem is with password protected wireless networks. I have no problem connecting with either Wired connection, or a wireless network with no password.
