Computer Continually Restarts
hi,

Windows XP HOME
AMD 1ghz
PSU = 300w
RAM = 512m legend

i have a computer that is continually restarting, i get as far ar the windows logo then it restarts. i do not get any blue screens, i have disconnected everything and reseated it all.

this also happens when trying to enter "Safe Mode".

i have ran mentest all is OK.

i have tried a repair install, it gets to the end of loading all the drivers the pauses and restarts.

so then,

i change hard drives and tryied a clean install, the same happened, gets to the end of loading all the drivers the pauses and restarts.

now i am very confused disconnected the motherboard reset the cmos still restarts.

so now i ask if any one can help or offer suggestions,

PSU = 300w
upgrade the power supply
what
video card
cpu
m/board
power supply
brand
are you running
any error message
check your tempretures and voltages in the bios and post them

not sure this is all i know. how can i found out - remember cannot start the computer.

tap f8 when booting and try last known good configuration
d/load and run the hard drive makers diognostic utility on the hard drive
borrow another psu to try in it putting out a min of 18amps on the 12v+ line
