Hello,

I'm sure I'm missing something simple.
I have plugged in two different SATA drives (not at the same time) in my system.
Just extra HDDs.
They show in the Bios, the F12 boot list, & Device Manager.
I can not get them to show up & display a drive letter in My Computer so I can actually access?
Thoughts, advice?

Start menu>Run>compmgmt.msc

Under Storage>Disk Management

Find and format the hard drive.

Hey Peter,

I can located by your method but see how to format?
Shows the drive as...

Disk One unknown w/ a red mark
Not Initialized
Unallocated

Hi,

Right click the drive, choose "New partition" and follow the wizard.

How to use Disk Management to configure basic disks in Windows XP.

Yea, you right click and click New Partition or Format.
