Hi guys!
I have a customer with a home built computer that is behaving a bit strange...

He has:

Windows 7 32bits OEM License
Hardware is about a year old
He has reinstalled the computer at some point...
CPU= Intel E7500 2.9GHz
Videocard= GeForce GTS 250 512mb
Motherboard= Asus P5Q-SE2
PSU= AXP 400w-12n

I have had this computer once before and it was a few mistakes on the build causing problems...memory wasn't seated properly etc.

I tested the hard drive and memory at the time and didn't find any faults and will test it again now and run Driver Verifier etc...

I am attaching BSOD file as you would like it and hope we can see something that could be causing the upet...

The last problem was the computer getting stuck in standby mode and throwing a wobbly after that...

Re: BSOD Problems

Hello,

Try uninstalling Asus PC Probe; that was the cause of the Verifier_Enabled dump. Turn off Verifier for now, see if that helps.

Re: BSOD Problems

Hi Jonathan_King:wave:
I looked for asus probe, but it wasn't installed...
However, I did notice the BSOD info (computer was set not to restart) I noted the info and it mentioned the "asio.sys" driver as the culprit...

OK! I did a search on that and there were several explanations to do with Asus....One pointed to the Bios Update Utility which was installed....

I removed it and started a new process...the funny thing is when setting the verifier it showed the "asio.sys" as unknown, but hasn't thown up a BSOD this time....

I still have it on test, but that looks better...

Thanks for your help on this..

Much Appreciated as always.....

Re: BSOD Problems

That sounds encouraging; post back when you feel the BSODs are shaken. or upload a new report if they return. Hopefully we can mark this thread as solved.
