When starting up or restarting I run into this...
Just sets there so I shut it down by holding in the power button. Then restart it and this comes up...
Windows Boot Manager
Windows Failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem Insert your windows installation disc and restart.
2. Choose your language settings and then click next.
3. Click repair your computer.
"This doesn't work as it will not load the disc, just goes back to the screen above!"
File\$windows.-BT\windows\systen32\winload.exe
Status: 0xc000000f
The selected entery could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt.
I the Pres Enter and This comes up...
Choose the operating system to start.
1. Windows Setup
2. Microsoft Windows Vista
So I pick option #2...
system shuts down and restarts but turns the screen off for a bit, a mins or two then boots slowly, but boots back up and once fully booted its ok!
Any thoughts as to how to get this mess cleaned up ?
BTW...
I have an Emachine W3609
Processer 3.33GH
1 G Ram with 8 G zipdrive with ready boost.
120G Hard drive
250 G backup drive.
250 G external drive
and a 40 G External drive.
all of whitch was working well before this started.
Many thanks.
