Hi guys, I've been browsing this forum for some time.

I'm currently using a Presario F731AU notebook, AMD and running on WinXP Home SP2. I've reinstalled Windows and now I cannot get the drivers to work.

I have followed the steps by installing the AMD Chipset first, then UAA and finally the modem and sound. The modem is working fine, only the sound is driving me nuts.

(Btw, I did it 2 months ago successfully but it took several attempts and now I cannot even remember what I did then. I have a dozen spXXXXX.exe files on my comp cos I'm not even too sure which one works now. The one given by the vendor doesn't work, that's for sure.)

If anyone can help me, that would be awesome.

Thanks a lot dude. I haven't tried installing it yet, let's hope it works.

Just FYI, I am not downgrading from Vista, but rather had been using XP all the time. Shouldn't make a difference, aye?

Just BE SURE you UNINSTALL ALL the other Sound Drivers First. Install the UAA driver, Sound, Modem. You MAY have to do a REINSTALL.
Not sure where this Laptop came from, but this Laptop ORIGINALLY came with VISTA.

Will work if you have a legit XP disk and follow directions.
Let me know if you have a problem. Do not Skip around when installing the drivers.

Thanks again for the help. When I bought my laptop, it did not come with any OS except FreeDos, so I chose XP Home cos I heard how much Vista hates gamers >.<
