I am trying to boot Windows OS disc through BIOS, but it says Device enclosed in parenthesis has been disabled, even when i have only selected the cd drive. I also tried only selecting the harddrive with current install of windows (disabling every other boot option in both cases) and it came up with the same message. It just will not seem to recognise that there is anything in the CD drive.

I have also tried replacing the CD drive with a working spare, but to no avail.

I am using ASUS P5Q MoBo, and have tried to find a current chipset support that Win 7 will work with as it rejects the CD the MoBo came with.

I have reordered Boot Priority many times before but never came up against this issue.
Think im getting old and i dont know as much as i used to think :( lol

Any help would be greatly appreciated
