whenever i use google, the search results page will automatically reset to the top of the page any time i hover on a link or next page button, basically as soon as i mouse over the thing i want, if i don't click immediately within half a second the page goes to the top. ...what the heck is going on?? is it my optimizegoogle extension? i tried altering some of the settings there but the problem did not rectify. i also tried some search options within the google site to no avail. ...has anyone run into this? i could not figure out how to search for help on this since words like "scroll to top google" etc are quite generic and led me in all different directions. hopefully someone will read this and know exactly what i mean and how it's fixed, because i have been dealing with it for a while and it's rather aggravating. please help! ...details, i have: windows 7 home premium, firefox 3.6.26 ...possibly relevant extensions to firefox: adblockplus 2.0.3 optimizegoogle 0.79.1 noscript 2.2.8rc2 betterprivacy 1.68 tabmixplus 0.3.8.7 ...any input/suggestions much appreciated. thanks in advance

That's a mighty old version indeed. Latest version is Firefox 10.0. Now I'm not saying that will cure your Google issue, but I use Firefox 10.0 & my google search doesn't do what you've described.

Apart from which, you're missing out on faster speed, greater security, bug-fixes etc.

thank you. wonder why i had such an old one... i was prompted in a popup to get 10.0 and i thought that sounds too fake so i declined. then the next day i was prompted to get 4.26 or something so i thought the 10.0 was indeed a hoax... but i have now updated and all seems to be okay... and this version is flashy, no bottom status bar is a very nice feature.
