The solved thread is here:
http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f210/solved-high-pitch-whine-from-power-supply-driving-me-mad-179136.html

I too am having the same problem (high pitched sound you'd get from a TV). After going over CW Design's thread, I took HawMan's advice and downloaded SpeedFan. What I'd like to know is, with the results from SpeedFan put below, is it time for me to get a new power supply...or a new computer overall? I've only had this computer for about 2-3 years (and it was a barebone to boot).

SpeedFan results (everything besides CPU. Double lines are to separate):
Fan1: 0RPM ||Temp1: 61 C (flame by it)
Fan2: 0RPM ||Temp2: 33 C (blue down arrow)
Fan3: 0RPM ||Temp3: -128C (blue down arrow)
Fan1: 3184PRM ||HD3: 32C (blue down arrow)
Fan2: 0RPM ||HD1: 38C (blue down arrow)
Fan3: 0RPM ||HD2: 41C (red up arrow)
Fan4: 0RPM ||HD0: 42C (red up arrow)
Fan5: 0RPM ||CPU: 61C (flame by it)
CPU: 3183 RPM ||MB: 33C (blue down arrow)

Vcore1: 1.30V || -12V: -8.99V || +3.3V: 3.25V
Vcore2: 4.03V || -5V: 2.44V ||+5V: 5.07V
+3.3V: 3.22V ||+5V: 3.74 ||+12V: 12.10V
+5V: 3.41V || Vbat: 3.28V
+12V: 12.54V || Vcore: 1.30V
^(It did skip up to 12.71 for a sec)

I'd like to jump ahead of this before something major happens.

Re: Already solved, but want to know if I'm ok

Check the voltages in the BIOS, software is never as accurate.

Re: Already solved, but want to know if I'm ok

Speedfan is for fans and rarely shows accurate Temp/Voltage readings.
The Bios is the most reliable source.
It's difficult to assist when we don't know what we're working with.

Try removing two of the RAM sticks and see how it goes.
Would the PSU be Orion instead of Orino?
That's a piece of junk HEC made PSU and could very well be the base of your problem.

Thank goodness for the clear side.

Yes, the brand is Orion. Should I get a new PSU, and if so what do you recommend?

Thanks. I'll get something thrown over to paypal to take care of getting that.
