why cant i find a socket 939 mb..i've been looking around on the net and all i see is sockets AM2...i tried newegg and nothing.. just 10months ago they had sockets 939 mb..hmm..does anyone know where i can find a mb socket 939..i'm running a gigabyte k8ns 939 ultra with athalon 64 3000+...question..would i be able to use the 64 3000+ on a socket AM2.. does AM2 mb supports athalon 64 3000+?

Am2 is 940 pins. So the answer is no. There are numerous 939 M/B on that little auction site called Ebay.

Go to pricewatch.com and go into the motherboards section and click socket 939, ull find all u need.
