I have 2 computers side by side and they both had Windows Xp. I upgraded one computer to a Windows 7 home premium that I purchased with a new video card. According to a online speed test they both still regester around 6 to 7 Mbps. The windows 7 computer takes 3 times as long to load a page (sometimes even longer) then the Windows XP computer.

In addition my online games now lag more on the windows 7 then the Xp computer.

A temporary fix I found is if I run CMD as administrator and type in
regsvr32 actxprxy.dll it resolves the issue for about 5 to 10 minutes and the internet loading speed is fine. Then it goes back to loading a page like I was on dial up.

Does anybody know of a way to fix this issue

First I would ask where the slowdown is happening. It's possible that the OS is not liking you Firewall or anti-virus if you are using anything other then the default. New OS, new compatibilities.

I normally look at the things that do packet filtering when this issue arises in my PC's. Ar both OS's 64bit?

The slow down is occuring when the Web page loads in addition when I view video clips (ie youtube) it plays, then buffers ever 3 seconds. The other slow down is my online games lag and i get attacked and die without seeing the mob (Aion, WOW)

I am not under any third party firwall, my antivirus is AVG free addition. These are the same on my XP computer. My windows7 is a 64 bit upgraded from XP 32 and my working XP computer is still a 32 bit xp operating system.

If I load a clip on youtube, it plays then buffers ever 3 sec. Then if I run CMD as administrator and type in regsvr32 actxprxy.dll and reload the same page the video loads fine and plays fluidly.
