Hello,
I havn't visited this site since I bought my laptop 4 years ago
I have a extremely slow computer and first noticed the problem about
1 week ago. At first it started with glitching youtube videos. so I
ran an advertised program from this site called FixCleaner. After that
I noticed that, everything slowed down. I can barely type this post.
I also ran CC Cleaner with all the advanced settings checked. Please
help!

Hello welcome back to TSF! First lets start with some needed information from you. What is the make and model of your computer, also what version of Windows are you running XP, Vista, or Windows 7? Also did you use any registry cleaners?

Compaq Presario CQ60 Notebook PC
Windows 7

I am not sure about the registry question. But I am fairly certain that
registry cleaners only pertain to Spyware/Virus problems. Non of my
scans picked up a virus. It all started with slow Youtube Videos. After I used
CCLeaner with "All" the advanced tabs checked, and ran a Program
called FixCleaner. My computer took a dive and choked.

How much free space is available on your hard drive, if this is what you used it does some reg tampering FixCleaner - Fix, Clean & SPEED UP your PC!, when did you last run disc clean up and defrag your hard drive, how much ram is there have you run either sfc /scannow or chkdsk

It looks like I have 36.5 gb of 220 gb on my hard drive.
I only ran defragment from the windows tools menu once before I
race FixCleaner. No I have not ran CHKDSK

Ok please start by running sfc /scannow SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker - Windows 7 Support Forums
then when done run disc clean up Delete files using Disk Cleanup
only do not touch your restore points at this time,next run disc defrag Improve performance by defragmenting your hard disk

When I run Disk Clean Up.. Do I need to check the box called
"Clean up System files"?

Ok, I did all three steps.. But Disk Defrag didnt seem to run
I pressed the run button but it automatically said complete.
please let me know if I have to move on to the next step or
Repeat anything. My computer seems marginaly improved???

Hi please see what programs you no longer really use and remove them and try to gain back some space on your hard drive you need at least 15% of free space and you pretty close to that

I have 37.8 gb free of 220 gb
Everything is working good. My only worry is that I will use up all my memory
and I am not sure what is taking up so much space.

Try a malware program like MalwareBytes. I know it has found some crazy stuff on my PC that slowed it a bit.
