I have an HP Pavilion g6 Notebook PC with Intel Core CPU 2.30 GHz, 8 G Ram, 64 bit OS, x64-based processor. I recently upgraded from Win 7 to Win 10. I have a 22" monitor connected to the HDMI port and use both the laptop monitor and the extra. I have noticed that the Slideshow I use for the Desktop stops changing the pictures once the laptop is either put to sleep manually or it times out and goes to sleep. I have to restart the whole system to get it to work again. I have tried changing the time of the changes and the folder the pictures are located in with nothing resolving the issue. I have been trying to locate any threads that may talk about the problem but have not found any related to Win 10. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. It's not that it's a working problem just an annoyance.

Why not disable the Sleep function?
