HI,
I have bought a second hand Dell PowerEdge 2200, It was running fine, but i decided to put another scsi hardrive in so i took out the old one and put the new one in and put the old one in the last scsi connector on the cable which blew it, (if you dont follow here it dont matter lol),

So basicly the hard drive which came with the dell pc,blew along with windows 2000 server and some bios which i heard was on the hard drive,

So all i have now is a scsi 9gb hard drive, scsi cd-rom, and a floppy, I put in the windows server 2003 disk i recently bought, the cd-rom looked like it was loading by the light flashing then it displays no o/s found and says F1 to resume, F2 To setup (Bios)
resume just restarts and the problem reoccures,

well

from what i have seen, a pc will only boot from a cd if the cdrom drive is either primary master, or primary slave....

if your cd rom is on the secondary branch then i wouldnt think it will boot....
