i found out my cpu was bad after i rma it. they are sending me a new one but now i am worried about putting it in the mobo. could the cpu take out the mobo and now if i put in a new cpu could it (the old mobo) take out the cpu?

You always take that chance, but it is unlikely that happened. What motherboard do you have and what were the symptoms of your CPU when you had it that you knew it was bad?
