I using a A7N8X-E (Deluxe) .

The Question came when i own first time SATA II Hard Drive,
called WD1600JS.

All setup prosses well done until I check here in Device Manager>SCSI and RAID Controller>Silicon Image SiI 3112 SATARaid Controller>Properties>Flash Bios... All infomation there are BLANK.

Flash Part Infomation
Chip Type=Unknow, Size=Unknow

BIOS Infomation
Version-Unknow Date=Unknow

Program Flash
Flash Image File = Blank Space
Program status =Blank Space

So, can Anyone there who know the case and can teach me how to flash bios SATA.

MOBO BIOS yes i know how to,
But SATA BIOS is new for me.

Welcome to TSF:

I would flash your mobo bios to latest revision / there are alot of "fixes" for sata drives and raid issues in bios releases !! But I strongly advise you ONLY use the DOS based bios utility / dont use ez-bios or live update they have a high failure rate / use either the Aflash or Afudos method of bios flashing see your mobo manual for which one to use / then download the newest bios utility prog off the asus website for your board !!

then update your sillicon raid driver to the latest version

all this can be found and downloaded on the asus webpage for your board

the actual raid controller I dont believe can be flashed independently of the mobo unless you have a raid PCI controller card ???? the bios can be flashed in those; perhaps your device manager is getting the two different types of controllers confused ??????

dont hesitate to ask more questions

regards

joe
