Theres my logfile, using the hijackthis analyzer. I have some programs I downloaded like spywareblaster and noadware3 that are supposed to help keep me from adware and spyware but I dont rely on them. I just reinstalled windows two nights ago because my computer, which is two years old, was running slowly. I ran adaware SE and spybot search and destroy. Netdrive is the program I'm using for accessing for my college's partitioned network space for me. Running widows XP home and browsing the internet with Firefox...

The problem: I'm waiting on my Firewall cd to show up in the mail since it was at home and I am not and I got tired of no firewall so I tried downloading a temporary crack for it so I could have the program till it came. I suspect something else was downloaded with it and is affecting my computer, slowing it down some. Also I have no clue what O10 is in the logfile and I don't know what "bonjour" is either (the file with O10). Could I get some help here, I believe this should be a fairly simple and straight forward fix...if theres anything wrong to start with.

Thanks for the help

Hello juddspaintballs,

Looks like this won't be quite so straight forward. Bonjour is associated with iTunes, QuickTime as well as networking which is what I suspect, as you stated you are linked to your college's partitioned network space :

http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/bonjourforwindows_readme.html
Bonjour, also known as zero-configuration networking, enables automatic discovery of computers, devices, and services on IP networks. Bonjour uses industry standard IP protocols to allow devices to automatically discover each other without the need to enter IP addresses or configure DNS servers.
no firewall so I tried downloading a temporary crack for it
ZoneLabs provides a Free Firewall for personal use, may I suggest using that and uninstalling the crack program you installed. Please download a free one at ZoneAlarm http://www.zonelabs.com.

Nothing in your log is jumping out at me, so let's take a look from a different angle:

Perform an online scan using Internet Explorer with Panda ActiveScan - requires Internet Explorer

  1. Click on the Scan your PC button & a 'pop up' window shall appear. * ensure that your pop up blocker doesn't block it
  2. Click On 'Scan Now'
  3. Enter your e-mail address & click 'Scan Now' ...begins downloading Panda's ActiveX controls.- 8MB
  4. Begin the scan by selecting My Computer
    * You needn't remain online while it's doing the scan but you have to re-connect after it has finished to see the report.
  5. If it finds any malware, it will offer you a report. Click on see report
  6. Then click Save report
  7. Post the contents of the report in your next reply

* Turn off the real time scanner of any existing antivirus program while performing the online scan
